A school year gets photographed on a few hundred phones and then disappears into camera rolls nobody scrolls back through. VGGallery is where some of it survives. The yearbook club and the media arts class shoot the year properly, and everyone gets to see what they got.
The Campus wing has a queue. A photographer starts an album, uploads the set, and submits it. A curator goes through it and either publishes it or sends it back. The review exists because these are photographs of actual classmates, and somebody should look at every one before the school does. Add a photo to an album that's already up and the album goes back for review, since the new photo hasn't been through it yet.
The Arts wing works the other way. There's no crew to join and nothing to wait for. Any Spartan can put up their own drawings, paintings, digital work, or photographs of things they made, and it goes up once the safety checks clear. You pick the medium so it shows under the right filter, you write a line about it if you feel like it, and it's yours to take down whenever you want.
Everything starts visible to signed-in Spartans and nobody else, and it stays that way unless somebody changes it on purpose. A curator has to decide an album belongs on the open web. An artist has to decide it about their own piece. A signed-out visitor sees only what somebody chose to make public.
There's a whole layer of this you never see. Phones write the exact location a photo was taken into the file, along with the camera's serial number and a hidden second copy of the picture that survives a crop. We strip all of it out on the way in, before the photo is stored anywhere. There's no face tagging here and there isn't going to be. And if you're in a photo you'd rather not be in, one button takes it down and nobody asks you why.
None of that is the fun part. The fun part is opening an album from a game you were at and finding the exact second everyone remembers, shot by somebody in your third period. A camera roll never does that. Ten thousand photos in, you still can't find homecoming.
